Mission Statement
At Starlite Children’s Centre, I recognize the importance of family and community in the development of each child. I strive each day to create a family friendly environment that is positive, compassionate and where all efforts are encouraged and acknowledged.
The enriched program is predictable, yet flexible and is focused around the interests of the children. The mixture of High/Scope, Montessori and Baby Signs curriculums marries the ideas of a more natural, homelike setting. Children work at their own skill level, learn practical life skills and communicate with each other.
The warm atmosphere of the home heightens the children’s natural curiosity and allows for the children to learn from one another and to create somewhat of an extended family. Within this extended family we will find that each member has something significant to offer for learning as a whole and the hope is that they will be utilized to the fullest extent possible.
