High/Scope
Developed by Jean Piaget and other developmental psychologists, the High/Scope curriculum focuses in on how children are active learners. The curriculum utilizes this fact and allows the children to learn through actively exploring their world, manipulating the objects around them and practicing over and over again.
High/Scope uses six key experience areas to foster growth throughout children’s development. The Key Experiences are:
- Sense of Self
- Social Relations
- Creative Representation
- Movement
- Communication and Language
- Exploration and Early Logic
